I graduated in Medical Biotechnologies and Neuroscience in Milano, Italy. Driven by my passion for the study of animal behaviour, particularly of cephalopods, I then completed a MSc in Marine Biology in Israel where I investigated spatial learning in cuttlefish. I am now continuing studying cephalopods vision and social behaviour. In particular, I am interested in understanding how squid and octopus communicate through their remarkable repertoire of body patterns and whether they use polarized light for communication. I am also interested in understanding the neural basis of social behaviour in cephalopods.
